David Parker is an Associate Principal with The Chartis Group. He has worked in the healthcare industry for over 25 years, providing program and project management leadership, including design and implementation, strategic assessment and planning, as well as performance improvement initiatives. Mr. Parker's leadership spans large-scale electronic health record (EHR), technical, hardware and software implementations; mergers and acquisitions; IT Service Management process improvements; service desk operations; and technology assessment and planning. He has held various operational IT departmental roles including organizational director, assistant director, and systems administrator. Previously, Mr. Parker oversaw all Epic inpatient and ambulatory implementation and production support teams focused on integration, cutover, and quality assurance/testing as the Assistant Director of Epic Support at Texas Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Mr. Parker served as the Manager of Software Engineering at Harris Health, and Data Services Supervisor at Providence Health System (WA). Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Mr. Parker worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center supporting clinical intelligence projects before moving to maxIT/Leidos as a Management Consulting Director where he focused on Epic implementations and was the Program Manager for a Leidos Health innovation/venture group to develop a disease prediction product.In addition to being certified in Epic Bridges, Mr. Parker is trained as an Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA). Additionally, he has multiple certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
