Led U.S. interagency participation in NATO's civil support, civil-military planning and emergency management cooperation activities. Primary U.S. representative on three NATO committees. Supported U.S. foreign disaster response and civilian deployment to complex operations.

Led public communication, media relations, community and government affairs for five-state area. Served as head of external affairs for Hurricane Katrina, Space Shuttle Columbia and 50 other national disasters.
