Additionally, remove any dependencies on the existing OMS solution comprising thinkFolio, LatentZero, bespoke in-house and 3rd party systems.The team comprised multiple scrum teams following Agile practises including BDD. Each team included developers, testers & analysts with one of the team operating as Scrum Master. The teams had direct contact with Business SMEs and/or BAs and functionality was delivered in incremental phases whilst adhering to the strict waterfall nature of the BRS implementation schedule.Rather than simply replace old with new the transition also included the creation of a brand new platform in the Cloud. This made extensive use of MS Azure and an API-centric design pattern with APIs made available through a dedicated proxy product - Apigee. The integration of BlackRock Aladdin not only streamlined the Investment Decision & Transaction process but the cloud implementation was the first such delivery for the company and identified M&G as a genuine “Digital” Asset Manager using cloud-native technologies and practices to supplement the BRS Aladdin product capabilities. -
