I’m a PhD Candidate in the School of Public Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo. I am fascinated by the use of animal models in studying the impact of psychosocial stress on the brain at the molecular levels. At Dr. Mielke's lab, I uncover the correlation between changes in the levels of plasticity-related proteins (e.g., NMDA, AMPA) in the hippocampus and hippocampal cognitive functions (i.e., spatial learning and memory).
