Record shows major achievements as:Ample senior management and leadership experience reflected in two highly successful Commands of nuclear powered submarines, as Director Marketing and Maritime Defence at the Defence Manufacturers Association (DMA) and now as Harbour Master (Upper) at the Port of London.Directed and coordinated production of a code of practice governing the conduct of Passenger Vessel operations on the River Thames.Initiated several initiatives at the DMA, which included a new marketing strategy, development of marketing tools to support business ventures in the Exclusive Economic Zone and promoting greater collaboration between businesses in order to present improved capabilities.Led the introduction of post 9/11 enhanced nuclear security measures across the Government maritime nuclear sector, actively engaging with commercial and government stakeholders in the UK and overseas.Planned, directed and managed the operational programme for the introduction into service of a new class of ballistic missile nuclear submarine (HMS VANGUARD), which included balancing commercial and naval interests, coordinating civilian and military activities to meet programme targets, train over 300 people and become ready for sea.Current Position since Jul 2009 Harbour Master (Upper) at the Port of London Authority.Nov 2007 - Jul 2009: Deputy Harbour Master (Upper) at the Port of London Authority.Defence Manufacturers Association Jan - Nov 2007: Director Marketing and Maritime at a Trade Association serving the defence industry.; Multiple positions over 32 years service culminating in nuclear submarine command.
