From Paragon TNT and FIX32 on Windows NT4 to Wonderware System Platform in virtualised environments.Most recently I have been leading projects to upgrade site networks and legacy SCADA systems in the water industry. I have upgraded networks from the likes of DH+ or unmanaged ethernet to resilient managed ethernet architectures, including site-wide wireless networks, with future cyber-secure segmentation and firewalling in mind. I have developed a new standard library and architecture for one of our major customers based on Wonderware System Platform servers running on VMWare virtualisation and Advantech thin clients managed with Rockwell's Thin Manager. This standard is being rolled out to a large number of sites for the customer, and the library has been adapted to Wonderware InTouch to provide the same look and feel across their smaller SCADA systems.
