I have been in healthcare 20 years and have been managing staff just about that entire time. In addition I have extensive experience on using clinical and financial data to improve clinical workflows, identify patient outcomes, provide friendly audits to identify areas that require more staff training, measure financial key performance indicators, identify high acuity patients that require more extensive care, create new workflows to collect data for research projects, and many other uses of data.Currently I am the Clinical Applications Manager at a large (75 providers) multi-specialty group including Urology, Gastroenterology, and Radiation Oncology. This also includes our endoscopy ambulatory surgical centers and our ancillary pathology laboratories and imaging division. Previously I worked in community health and managed the clinical systems at a large primary care and mental health practice which also had a large pharmacy business.I have a high level strategic view of the entire healthcare cycle from patient engagement before they walk into the clinic, authorization management, patient flow (registration and scheduling), rooming, medical documentation best practices, ancillary services such as labs and imaging, auditing, billing, denial management, case management and post visit care.I am passionate about improving patient care through data and managing a team to make that happen for the providers.
