Possess over 25 years of direct experience in the Cyber Security and Information Technology (IT) field supporting the U.S. Navy, as well as 15 years of experience as an Information System Security Manager and Officer (ISSM/ISSO). Extensive IT and cyber-security knowledge, is a recognized cyber-security Subject Matter Expert (SME), and has a detailed understanding of the systems development and maintenance life cycle as it applies to DoD information systems. A strong DoD cyber security and IT background combines cyber security management, technical expertise, knowledge of government standards, and technical concept knowledge. Has extensive experience in IT security to include preparation of System Security Plans (SSP), Cyber Security requirements, and the analysis of security scanning reports of classified systems in the Xacta tool. Experience in the collaboration, artifact development, mitigation reporting and complete delivery of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages from conception to Authority to Operate (ATO) in accordance with the DoDI 8500.l revision (E), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) series 800-30,37 and 53, the Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253, and the Director of National Intelligence-Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 for TS/SCI systems.
