I am a seasoned legal counselor and advocate with more than twenty-five years of experience in the resolution and litigation of complex business and employment disputes with a particular focus in the government contractor and association/nonprofit industries. My clients range from multi-national corporations, to small disadvantaged businesses, to individual executives. Regardless of the client or scope of engagement, my approach is consistent - identify and understand the client's strategic goal and attain that goal as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.My core practice areas include commercial dispute resolution and litigation; employment counseling and litigation on behalf of both employers and executives; and government contracts compliance counseling, bid protests, claims, appeals, audits, and investigations.In my counseling practice, I work proactively with my clients to identify and mitigate potential legal risk. Often clients contact me when an issue - either a right to assert or a claim to defend - has already arisen. In those circumstances, when reason is not able to prevail, I am an effective trial advocate, calling upon more than two decades of first-chair experience in adversarial proceedings before federal and state courts and administrative agencies and third party neutrals.
