Development and maintenance of a number of predictive models in SAS, SQL, VBA, R and Splus: Gilt-Swap Spread VaR model (analytical, historical and Monte-Carlo), Access (savings), Prepayment (mortgages), Correlation (cross-dependencies) for hedging purposes. Annual review of these models and developing new versions (from Swap level to Account level).Model monitoring champion for Balance Sheet Risk modelling team. Developed best monitoring practices ad introduced them across rest of team. Chair monthly meetings and report on the performance and maintenance of all Pillar I and II Capital models within the group.Developed central data repository in Access/VBA/SQL of commonly used data (indices, interest rates, swap returns and bond yields) using automated data updates from Bloomberg, internet and various internal sources. Maintained on a monthly basis and used across all predictive models within Treasury.Developed and maintained model risk register for all models within BSR. Became central repository for reporting on the function and monitoring of all risk models and used to update model oversight and various risk committees on performance and compliance.Development of numerous bespoke Excel/Access/VBA/SQL applications: front ends for predictive models; collecting and reporting on model performance. Became point-of-contact for all Front and Middle office teams in Access VBA related projects: maintaining existing; migrating to from 2003 to 2010; designing and developing new. 2 x PRIDE award for Exceeding Expectations and Delivering Great Service by helping other teams outside of normal working hours. Maintenance, distribution and licensing worldwide of a comprehensive suite of VB6/VB.Net prediction codes for automotive bearing design and statistical analysis. Development of numerous bespoke Excel/Access/VBA applications to handle, analyse and cross-populate data from predictions and measurements. Maintenance and extension of in-house software. Bespoke Access/VBA application for monitoring and reporting of the 5 years rolling business plan of the Trusts 16, or so, business divisions. Information on Workforce grades, Activities, Finance and Estates (WAFE) are held and reported against pre-determined business objectives.Internal, network based evidence collation application for monitoring and proof (to external NHS assessors) of target achievement and conformance.

Developed bespoke VBA/macro Access/Excel/SQL application to link, monitor and control the companies financial (SAGE) and production (Batch Controller) data. These included: Production Schedule (used to monitor, track and plan all jobs going through production); Working Instructions (a comprehensive suite of documents/programs/procedures outlining all the major functions undertaken by the company and responsibility for completing these); Statistical data analysis and reporting of: customer complaints, Tender Projects, stock control, supplier performance, products, job timings and costings, etc. Project managed local/county council lighting projects (including designs, costings, lighting calculations to BS/CEN standards and lighting site inspection/measurement)

Project manager for signature prediction and measurement – at various locations throughout the UK.Developed optimisation algorithms to maximise the signature reduction of aircraft wing leading edges over a range of threat UHF/VHF frequencies using resistive tapers.Evaluated bids for MoD attack helicopter procurement program and related TDP programmes. Sponsored by Rolls-Royce and Ruston Gas Turbines to develop CFD software to model the unsteady, turbulent flows in industrial gas turbine engines. Included 3D non-orthogonal grid generation and the use of Full Approximation Scheme Multigrid acceleration algorithms to aid practical implementation.
