I'm responsible for making all data generated by customers, colleagues and systems on our data platform across all countries, as well as data relating to Tesco's properties.This stream of work includes ensuring all of our data is fully documented with the highest standards of metadata, providing full transparency and visibility to stakeholders and senior leadership on our progress, as well as increasing the number of people using our data.I work in a cross functional team of data engineers, BAs and programme to deliver our goals as well as building out of core building blocks of reliability, sustainability, accuracy and trust.There is a need to ensure we find the balance between looking towards the future and building strategically with ensuring we work with the current situation to provide the best possible service to the business

* Delivered a market leading, legally compliant, scaleable and automated solution for Data Portability from solution design through to delivery (on time) and continued optimisation post launch minimising the risk of a 4% fine of global turnover for non-compliance* Product managed a pop-up team of engineers from multiple teams across the business by providing a clear plan and set of requirements to enable a customer to see their entire shopping history with Tesco as required by law. * Engaged with privacy team throughout and communicated progress with senior stakeholders at regular governance meetings. First point of call for all issues relating to the UI work, core API development and data availability across multiple complex data sets that were often incomplete or unknown.* Now in phase two to complete data availability, future proof it and to build this into a product with true customer value in addition to maintaining legal compliance

* Building out reporting and analytical capabilities from scratch for Tesco's sign in, registration and account functionality enabling visibility for the first time of performance and areas for optimisation and improved customer experience* Identifying the size of various Tesco customer groups based on their account type and status enabling business risk analysis. This was the first stage of the process to enable Tesco to have a single view of a customer across online and offline interactions used throughout the business now.

* Built and designed bespoke forecasts for the world's largest online English language newspaper website. This was done by segmenting data out to the appropriate user group and applying seasonal adjustments and weighting to account for particular known behaviour across a series of business KPIs* Provide key analysis and presentations to the Head of Analytics and then on to senior stakeholders using vast data sets across a range of business tools* Managing and training analytics graduates with real world business problems
