Provide specification review, price estimates, control program sequences, and designs for electrical / controls systems of custom applied HVAC energy recovery equipment. Work with controls engineers and electrical designers to develop / create electrical design packages for jobs, including electrical schematics, DDC controller programming, VFD programming, electrical ratings, panel layouts, equipment layouts, bills of material, electrical labels, and special instructions as required. Ensure designs are compliant with all NEC, UL, safety, and manufacturing standards as required. Provide overview of entire electrical and controls design package to ensure proper functionality and that all specifications and requirements of the job are met. Provide technical service, direction, and support on electrical & controls related issues for manufacturing, purchasing, sales, service, etc. as required.

Provided management & supervision of ORD Controls & Electrical department personnel. Directed daily activities and priorities of each person within the group to support DWP ORD sales requirements, production schedules and to meet departmental objectives. Responsible for creation of DWP ORD product designs as it pertains to electrical & control systems. This includes specifying the details of the physical design and parts specifications, providing pricing related to electrical & controls, creation/editing/verifying of sequences of operation, creation of the electrical design package, as well as the creation of the controller software code and any other programming required to control the systems. Provided management & supervision of service technician personnel. Scheduled & coordinated all SEMCO field service work. Primary source of technical support & warranty claim resolution to customers and technicians. Supervised & scheduled electrical designers as needed for submittal and production work. Worked with engineering on product design improvement and warranty cost reduction.

Served as Project Leader for new product introduction, managing and coordinating several aspects of product field trial support and technical launch of new truck and trailer refrigeration products. Assisted with creation, editing, and proof reading of technical documentation, service bulletins, and training materials. Conducted service reviews to identify and outline product design improvements. Coordinated multiple field rework programs. Served on the Truck/Trailer Action Line, a 24/7 technical support hotline.

Completed a variety of engineering testing on compressors and transport a/c products. Responsibilities included supervising other lab technicians, writing test specifications, lab resource allocation, and generation of formal test reports.
