An experienced IT professional (PRINCE2 trained) with over 30 years’ experience, ranging from Programme to Product Management.Most recently managed a team of IT Infrastructure Implementation Managers at BAA. The remit - to take initial requests for services and turn them into fully supported solutions - timescales for these projects ranged from 1 week to 2 years. This involved the following technologies: Networking, CCTV, Displays and Access Control. The team was responsible for the physical network design (following BAA quality standards), right through to the final commissioning. In addition, the role included management of framework partners and liaison with other key groups with BAA.During the previous 18 months, led the department successfully through the outsourcing to Capgemini.Previously: European Product Manager – responsible for new product launches, market information and general sales support.European Service Manager – responsible for providing European input to global account tenders, customer presentations and general sales support.Extensive knowledge of supply chain models having worked for manufacturers, distributors and added value retailers.Trained in the management of people with practical experience of teams up to 25 individuals.Very much a ‘hands on’ engineer with the ability to motivate others to achieve a common goal, but equally at home with budgets and targets.
