Provide leadership of product development projects from procurement perspective. Management of day-to-day procurement tasks/reporting including: communication with designer/contractors/vendors/suppliers to deliver on-time and cost-competitive; products, projects timelines, milestones, deadlines and documentation of products cost, providing a smooth transition from development into production. Work closely with engineers,and suppliers to reduce the product development cycle while improving the valve of purchased components. Communicate projects timing to buyers, suppliers, production, engineering, sales and QED management. Forecasting, planning and scheduling assigned products to meet customer needs in the most timely and efficient manner. Meet customer service level and objectives and planned inventory objectives.

Providing the business skills and coordinating when necessary, appropriate technical skills required to purchase all goods, supplies, equipment and services necessary for the continuous operation of the Institute, including: o communicating with suppliers in matters of price, quality and delivery at both the quotation stage and ordering stage of procuremento identifying alternative sources of supply through regular commodity reviewso negotiating with supplierso communicating with major departmental users to stay current with planned needso helping departments develop specifications for the required product serviceso providing acceptable terms and conditions for procurement

• Functions as technical point of contact for design projects• Specify equipment and materials• Develop and interpret P & ID’s• Perform Design calculations• Use Solidworks for system and component design• Standard and Custom BOM entry • Prepare technical submittal documents for review• Manage project database• Support production with concept and design assistance.• Prepare sales estimates and sales orders• Interpret design specifications• Provide technical product support• Interface and support design engineers
