David is an accomplished senior finance professional with a proven track record of success and advancement within large multinational organisations. His key area of expertise include strategic financial planning, financial systems design and implementation, equity raising, risk management and treasury practices. Early in his career, David was employed by global oilfield services giant Schlumberger Ltd where he gained twelve years of international financial management experience through financial controller assignments in Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom and the USA. In 2002 David joined Worley Parsons Ltd during his time with the company the market capitalisation of the company increased from $300m at the IPO to over $6bn in 2008 through an aggressive growth strategy. David was heavily involved in numerous acquisitions in Australia, China, USA, Canada and Chile. Roles included General Manager Finance & Administration (Australia), and CFO - Americas/Europe Region, based in Houston Texas.Looking for an opportunity to step up into a CFO role for a Perth based publicly listed organisation, David accepted the role of CFO/Company Secretary at Schaffer Corporation in March 2008. His major achievements included a thorough review and revision of foreign currency hedging policy and exposure reporting, a review and revision of international transfer pricing strategies, renegotiation and increase in group credit facilities, revamp of the corporate website and enhancement of monthly board reports. In 2011, David was employed by ASX listed iron ore miner Gindalbie Metals Limited in the position of Chief Financial Officer. His key achievements were lead managing two equity raising programmes ($271m) and assistance with negotiating and finalising a USD $1.8bn project finance facility with a syndicate of Chinese Banks.David joined Doric in 2014 in the role of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.
