Trellis was the second DCIM tool undertaken by Avocent and with Emerson funding, a much more extensive and complete true platform DCIM product offering.• Wrote 1000 of the original 2500 pages of initial product requirements• Worked directly with customers to validate and verify product approach, design and features• Worked directly with designers and HCD team to ensure accurate translation of product requirements to functional product code• Worked directly with global engineering team to address design and product development questions / issues• Managed product symbols and Element Library (Monitoring) Teams and standardized the creation of product symbols and monitoring capabilities• Defined go to market strategy and approach and trained Emerson local business partners how to engage and market Trellis to their customersI was able to secure the funding for the development of DSView Version 4, which enabled the product line to return to the best of breed market leader position.• Completely rewrote the product requirement documentation for the existing product• Validated product updates• Updated UI and incorporated HTML5 where possible• Improved overall performance 5-fold over existing product• Worked directly with engineers and HCD staff to incorporate new features and functionality not previously available in the market for competitive KVM productsI was hired by Avocent to be the first product manager for the Data Center Planner DCIM planning tool. I was hired to define the approach to and then lead the transformation of Pfizer’s 187 global data centers to enable “lights out” or Remote Data Center Management. The end project goal was to define the tools; standardized process, policy and procedures to remotely manage and run all company data centers globally.• Managed the shutdown, move and reallocation of 30 of the existing 187 data centers• Managed the tool selection process to enable remote data center management of all remaining 157 global data centers• Manage the procurement and deployment of all required software and hardware to remaining data centers• Managed global team responsible for the development of all the process, policy and run book documentation to standardized all data center operations across all Pfizer data centers• Eliminated local operation procedures and for the first time in Pfizer history, locked all data center doors to all but authorized data center personnel• Initiated remote management of all Pfizer Data Centers from a Primary and Back Up Operations Center• Upon Program completion, Pfizer Outsourced global data center operations to HP in a 1-billion-dollar managed service agreement, using tools, process and policies defined in the program

As one of Avocent’s largest customers based on software and hardware purchases to complete the Pfizer program, I was asked and participated in the Avocent customer advisory board, and an active member of the user community to provide product feedback and make product recommendations. I also contracted with Avocent as a Subject Matter Expert for the development of the Data Center Planner product until I hired on as an employee as the first DCP product manager in 2009.

Gordon Food Services (GFS) was an 800 million-dollar Midwestern company that grew to a 4-billion-dollar company through the acquisition of 13 independent food service companies across Canada and down the eastern seaboard of the United States. I was hired to develop the plan and process, and to execute the IT Integration of the 13 new companies into existing GFS IT systems.• Developed standardized and repeatable process to capture target firm data and transform and normalize that data for incorporation into existing GFS systems• Trained GFS and Acquired Company Staff on integration and conversion approach• Executed repeatable process and project approach to convert acquired companies to GFS IT systems, with zero down time or data loss
