These centres required a high level of building services redundancy. The first floor concepts were used to develop the current standard used for Telstra’s IDC’s today;• Planned and implemented Building Services Upgrade for Telstra at Bendigo Communication Building. This took the facility from a 35 year old building up to current day building services;• Successfully delivered the Building Degradation and Security upgrades in 2003/04. Upgrading hundreds of sites nationally with an expenditure of $10M;• Actively participated in the development of Telstra new Fire Safety policy. It also involved negotiation with Power Distribution Companies to ensure on-time delivery of power supply;• Design and deliver many upgrades to District Telephone Offices including the establishment of new international call centre in Bendigo• I was a strategic part of the team that undertook the planning and implementation of two capital city optical fibre regenerator buildings along the fibre paths (MEL-SYD No3 and MEL-ADL No 2). This involved work from budget forecasting to site acquisition (Lease and Freehold) to direct management of building construction;• Undertook a major role in the extension of the Mt Hotham Radio Terminal Building and re-vegetation of the surrounding environment.
