• Built strategic alliances with General Electric, Siemens Westinghouse, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries that saves $50M annually.
• Provided generation technology oversight for entire company including reviewing each technology’s history, technical improvements, and making factory and customer site visits.
• Provided budgets and operations oversight and review for all of Mirant's operating plants, acquisitions, and developments.

• Responsible for maintenance and operations of three gas-fired power plants with 21 generating units totaling 1,178 MW. Led cultural turnaround of 360 employees from government owned utility to for profit private.
• Improved Availability from 66% to 83% by refurbishing existing generation and staying within budget. Increased average power available from 550 MW to over 1,000 MW. GT Maintenance cycles were optimized for service.
• Reduced workforce by 23% while improving employee morale and developing trusting relationship with two unions. Renegotiated union contract to allow cross-functionality and introduced much-needed training program.
• Implemented world class safety and environmental programs with personal participation. Lost time accidents decreased dramatically (74 in 1994, 8 in 1998, to zero during 2001).
