Once my full time contract ended with Eastern Ocean, I continued to provide ongoing support and consulting for all aspects of their business. I managed both their WAN and LAN infrastructure remotely and provided systems for their sales team to be able to remotely create quotes for customers.During this time I was also required to provide support to Salvos Stores and was on contract from early 2007.

I was employed full time by Eastern Ocean to oversee the growth of the company after their move from a small warehouse in Brunswick to their new purpose built warehouse in Derrimut. This included new systems for both accounting and warehouse management along with a restructure of the business roles. My role included everything from recruitment to development of ongoing training modules for sales, admin and warehouse staff. I developed policy and procedures for the company and created templates for position descriptions which are still used today.

During this time I had two main roles, one was to look after my new born son, the other was to further develop my programming skills. I had a number of minor contracts with customers that I looked after whilst employed by CSM. CSM was changing its focus so I was permitted to continue to support these customers which included Salvos Stores (formally Family Stores) and Eastern Ocean.

Continued to develop my skills in Management Reporting and Database construction as well as Project Management. CSM was a major support partner with Business Manager Software (mid range accounting package). A large amount of my development time was spent creating interfaces to the accounting package from other systems including building a second hand clothing pos system for school uniforms.

My role was expanded to include all non-theatrical business within the Arts Centre Precinct. During this time I was responsible for the management of the main business contracts for catering and car parking. I continued to grow my expertise in management reporting and database support systems. I was awarded the Golden Spire Award by the VACT in Sep 96.

In this role I was to oversee and manage the contract between the VACT and Spotless. My duties included menu cost management and budgeting for the restaurants and bars as well as functions within the precinct. During this time I further developed my management reporting skills and commenced creating management databases.

Managed the POS systems in all the bars and restaurants within the Arts Centre precinct. This included developing reporting systems for the Victorian Arts Centre Trust to manage the Spotless Contract.

Manage and control the movement and usage of stock within both the main Hilton Hotel and the MCG Bar (attached to the Hilton). Reported monthly to the Food & Beverage Manager on stock values and movements. Developed computerised tracking systems to aid in management reporting.

Managed the Support Command Movement Cell at Victoria Barracks which included both RAAF and Public Service staff.

Multiple administrative roles for both the Support Command PMO and Admin Officer. These roles included managing all medical investigation documents for air craft accidents, managing and auditing of medical equipment throughout Support Command, reviewing performance and investigation records of RAAF staff and advising of possible outcomes.

As a Leading Aircraftman I processed General Entry applicants (Airmen & Apprentices) to the point of medical and final psychologist appointments. As a Corporal I was in charge of the Special Entry applicants (Officers & Cadets) to the point of applicants being presented to the Selection Board.My role also included public speaking at schools and career nights.

On staff at the school and worked in the Orderly Room which controlled all the administrative tasks for the school including student postings after graduation.

My first posting after graduation from Administrative school was Maintenance Squadron East Sale where I was responsible for the tracking of all files including urgent maintenance requests from both aircraft companies and Defence Headquarters. When notifications where received, the relative areas of the squadron would need to be notified immediately to ensure the safety of both pilots and aircraft.
