We dramatically underestimate the power and value of human emotional connection”I am the founder and director of Hardwired, a strategic consultancy specifically designed to help businesses meet the considerable challenges they face in connecting to, acquiring, and retaining customers. Hardwired does this by way of a unique combination of neuroscience, psychology, human behavioural science, and brand communication expertise. Hardwired is based in Wellington, New Zealand. It works with NZ clients onshore or in offshore markets - and has a growing reputation with global clients.I have more than 30 years of expertise in business, brand and marketing strategy, culture development and practical people leadership. My early background was in brand design and technology marketing, I went on to launch several successful businesses in New Zealand. I have worked in many parts of the world including being part of the foundation team of a San Francisco start-up business specializing in industrial psychology applied to recruitment. This sparked a deep interest in the psychology of human behaviour and its application to business culture, brands, customers and revenue growth. This led to the development of a unique psychology based, predictive research toolset which in turn led to Hardwired. I am married with two sons, my wife is a well-known novelist, we have two dogs, four cats and chickens. We are based in Haumoana, Hawkes Bay. My interests include psychology, technology, business, culture, road cycling and motorcycling.
