Lifeline Vascular Access is a subsidiary of DaVita, Inc. which provides management services to over seventy physician office based surgery and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) nation-wide.Facility Development: Oversee the center development related activities such as design of new surgical centers, addition of operating rooms, and the conversion of centers from office based to ASC facilities. Facility development activities include site selection, lease development, architectural design, construction management, and facility operational setup. Operational Development: Provide assessment and over-sight of center business operational management expansions that involve facility sharing, practice mergers forming new Professional Medical or LLC corporations, joint ventures, acquisitions, and implementation of new service (procedure) lines. Project Management: Manage and track center development related projects including but not limited to the coordination of teams from twelve functional departments, requiring assigning of tasks and identification of project milestones to insure that implementation timelines at met. Projects are managed and documented through the use of Work Breakdown Structures, Dashboards, Budget Tracking Worksheets, and Timeline Tables. Lead weekly conference calls with multiple levels of management and functional teams. Medical Affairs: Oversee the execution of medical privileging procedures, along with tracking and submittal of facility required licensures & permits. This includes, physician state medical licensures, controlled substance registration, DEA licensures, CLIA Waivers, Hazardous Waste Permits, Terminal Distributor of Dangerous Drugs, etc. Payor Credentialing: Manage the payor credentialing specialists responsiblefor the submittal of applications required to establish new provider groups, credential new physician providers, and add new service locations with Medicare Medicaid, and commercial insurances.
