I relocated to Canada where I was appointed Head of North America with primary responsibility for business development activities across the US and Canada. I managed an origination team to build a pipeline of infrastructure and PPP opportunities, form consortia, manage the bid process, submit bids that complied with our Investment Committee requirements.

Business Development of PPP / PFI / P3 investments in the UK and US.I was the sector head at John Laing Investments, responsible for Business Development of UK Civil Engineering Infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, tunnels, highways maintenance and streetlighting. Additionally I have supported overseas development opportunities in North.

I worked in Greenwich, London on the construction of the Millennium Dome (now the O2 arena) as a Commercial Manager. This CM project was undertaken in joint venture with Sir Robert McAlpine where we were located on site with the client and design team.

I worked in Egypt for JLI on high class residential apartments and villas overlooking the river Nile.

Joined John Laing as a Pupil QS and worked on a variety of commercial and public projects including office accommodation, supermarkets, airport, leisure complex, schools and hospitals.
