I provide executive coaching and leadership development for senior leaders in the Appleton and Fox Valley areas. My typical clients are executives who are being groomed for leadership positions. I mentor these individuals for 9 months to a year, working with them to establish a formal action plan and holding them accountable to their tasks and goals. Together, we work on skills that need improvement. This intense process helps my clients overcome the final hurdles they need to achieve their career goals.

After a long career in the field of human resources, I have spent the past 15+ years helping senior managers build a career as good as the one I enjoyed. I knew I wanted to be an Executive Agenda Group Chair after participating in a group and experiencing tremendous benefits myself. Since my retirement, I’ve taken advantage of the opportunity to share what I learned during my career. My mission is to help the people I work with achieve their professional goals, whatever those goals might be. I am highly involved in the success of each of my group’s members and focus on the impact I can make during our one on one time together. During our group meetings, I focus on asking deep questions, and I keep asking until the group works out problems themselves. In my experience, smart people usually know the answers they need, they just need someone to help them find those answers. I really enjoy facilitation and the close relationships that have developed in my group. In fact, 9 of my 17 members have been in the group for over 10 years.

Served as the first VP of Human Resources for the company. I was able to shape the HR organization based on a mission of human resources playing a strategic business role in helping to create a better bottom and top line for an organization. Over a period of 6 years, the company grew from 4,900 employees to over 8,000 in seven countries. I am most proud that I was able to help HR become a strategic function supporting the business, not just a department focused on complying with rules and regulations.

During the 11 years I spent at Menasha, I enjoyed the benefits of a family-owned business, plus all aspects of a professional, sophisticated organization. At the request of the CEO I also served as the acting president of one of the divisions for 8 months.

I was the first VP of Human Resources for this corporation. We were part of a large conglomerate that owned a number of companies, including Master Lock and Moen Faucets.

I began my career at Kimberly Clark as an HR manager. This position was very much focused on labor relations – negotiating agreements with the unions and dealing with grievances. From this role, I moved into a corporate labor relations position, where I negotiated with unions all across the country. During my time with Kimberly-Clark I also had HR management responsibility for consumer product marketing, sales, and R&D.
