Identify and report utilization statistics for Medicaid members such as Cost/Day, Cost/Admit, Days/1000, Admits/1000, PMPM, and Medical Loss Ratios.Identify trends and report variances regarding cost in Medical, Surgery, NICU, OB, and Skilled Nursing cases at all Kansas hospitals and facilities.Conduct in depth analysis of DRG payments made to all contracted Kansas hospitals and verify contracted rates are paid correctly.Verify and review revenue received from the state of Kansas.Assist with the development of Quarterly and Yearly Budgets and Forecasts

Verify and evaluate complex financial information for analysis including: Risk-share reconciliation, specialty capitation contracts, utilization statistics, medical expenses, group revenues, cash flows, operating results, and business plans.Interpret trends to identify variances and causes of variances and then report analysis to senior management.Review loss ratio reports by group, benefit plan, and line of business.Evaluate vendor data for inconsistencies in charges and/or utilization.Perform analysis on hopital, volume-tiered reconciliation.Monitor ongoing financial and utilization information and compare findings to budgeted or forecasted models.Support in the annual budgeting process.

Prepare multiple statistical and financial reports for required state or regulatory filings in Kansas and Missouri.Prepare various monthly and periodic ad hoc financial analyses related to medical expense trends, medical provider utilization and payments, sub-capitated provider utilization and capitation rates, and premium capitation rates.Provide analysis and support for special projects as determined by the Director of Financial Analysis, CFO, and CEO.
