At Halcon I analyzed and evaluated processes to recommend significant improvements and potential new opportunities to Executive leadership while expanding Halcon’s Software as a Service offerings. I leveraged client contracts to drive improvements, mitigated risks, and reduced costs organization-wide. Additionally I evaluated the potential for the migration of several of our core infrastructural systems to cloud solutions. This included evaluating the benefit and risk analysis to Halcon of several cloud solutions like AWS, Azure, and VMware VCloud. During this process I also initiated a pilot test of a migration tool by CloudVelox. Lastly, I prepared monthly Sarbanes-Oxley departmental review documentation.Some of my most significant contributions to Halcon in this role were:● Engineering and implementing several beneficial technology solutions including ADFS; Proofpoint Email Security, VMware vCenter, and Horizon View Upgrades, Windows 2012 R2 testing, Internal SFTP integration, and AD Certificate Services.● Directing the infrastructure team through a number of planned Disaster Recovery procedures to off-site data center.● Administrating distributed system infrastructure, including 99% virtualized Windows servers, ~20 VMware hosts, numerous redundant HP servers, and Horizon View Virtual Desktop environment.● Employing Unitrends devices to maintain 80+ Terabytes of Virtual Memory and corporate data backups for all locations and conducted monthly test restores and annual Disaster Recovery scenario validation.
