Provision, Test and Turn-up of complex Data and Telecommunication equipment and circuits in the downtown St. Paul office from POTS to fiber optic. Major responsibilities: - Install, perform routine maintenance, analyze defects, test, inspect, clean, adjust, repair and maintain complex equipment such as switching systems, circuit equipment, network terminal equipment and data/digital equipment by using electrical and/or electronic measuring devices. - Work with basic to advanced electronic theory.- Perform turn-up, acceptance, installation and provisioning of telecommunication transmission equipment in the Designed Services environment- Perform continuity and conformance testing.- Maintained a high level of quality on all circuits and equipment, consistently outstanding on all performance evaluations. - Review and interpret service orders and all central office drawings including schematics, wiring lists, wiring diagrams and equipment drawings following standard telecom practices.

Duties included participation in military and In-Rate training. Attached to Navy Seabee Unit (Naval Mobile Construction Battalion-25).

Responsibilities included the maintenance, repair, and operation of six major sonar systems on-board USS Avenger (MCM-1). Six years of experience in the Navy’s advanced electronics field. Received thorough knowledge of electronic theory, schematics and technical manuals, use of test equipment, certified miniature electronic repair technician (E-level), documentation of repairs, and troubleshooting techniques to the component level. Accomplishments included:- Advanced to E-6 after only 4 ½ years (average time was over 8 years).- Navy Achievement Medal for professional achievement in maintaining sonar equipment to maximum operational effectiveness and troubleshooting and repair of these complex systems.- Part of first crew to deploy emerging technology to the fleet, testing, troubleshooting and documenting these platforms to be utilized on future ships. - During testing of new sonar systems maintained over 300% accomplishment rate per week for periodic maintenance as necessitated by casualties and ensure equipment readiness. - Saved limited budget funds by performing high level repairs on board ship.
