MDCB is a minerals industry specific sovereign wealth fund established by the Botswana government to hold non diamond assets. In tandem with the Investment Director we developed the operating model, the investment criteria, reviewed and then ranked the mineral projects in Botswana. Recommended and closed a series of equity and debt investments. Extensive internal and external stakeholder consultations were required with regular consultations to Minister and senior levels of Government.
