Responsible for cost estimating, analysis, Supplier cost modelling and advice on best practice manufacturing methods of fabricated/sheet-metal & machined components at all stages of the life cycle. In respect of the above also responsible for supporting commercial negotiations/issues on a global basis to enable cost reduction/value for money pricing. Competent in facilitating/running cost reduction workshops with internal customers & suppliers. Management of teams of Value Engineers supporting major projects to recognised deadlines. Training of purchasing personnel on the above to support improved manufacturing cost knoweldge. Currently aligned to the Installations SCU as the Value Engineering Lead on Nacelles, Externals components and Complex Fabrications.

Aligned to Manufacturing Engineering at the Fabrications facility. Have been responsible for applying lean techniques 5s, VSM, SMED, other lean tools and activities to improve the business. Also analysis and creation of planning to support best practice manufacturing & business case creation to support new capital equipment for capability aquisition.
