CurrentA multi-faceted role in which responsibilities include:- planning, design and development of transmission solutions and ethernet access networks.- technical leadership and support in areas of transmission practices. - plan, design and issue instructions in the form of a job package for new services, improvements and restructuring of the network, acting as central point of contact and reference for other parties.- produce and validate the design and costings of feasibility requests from customers and sales.- responsibility to manage and meet SLA’s and deadlines, prioritising workloads and resources.- forward planning for stock/equipment availablitiy to fulfil the orders within vendor lead times.- liaising with internal and external customers to ensure the successful service delivery.- pro-active in highlighting potential issues to other stakeholders and the wider project.- monitor, audit and review existing transmission network to ensure effective network capacity- documenting and recording of network/cct information in databases, diagrams, spreadsheets.- provide co-op and direction to KC, KCOM and other onsite engineers.- cct configuration and datafill utilising several different management systems – ADVA EGX, FSP150, Fujitsu Flexr, Marconi MV38(SDH), TMS(PON), Megavision (MRV Optical Ethernet).- Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner qualified – April 2019- completed Huawei U9800 and UPS Operations and Maintenance Course – May 2017.- completed various ADVA FSP150 training courses- completed Keymile training courses for UNEM and Milegate.- completed ECI training courses for Hi Focus rel 6.6.- self-development to learn new skills and new technologies.- training/coaching and mentoring of colleagues.
