Homeless and SARTH (Single Access Route to Housing) Triage advisor for Denbighshire County Council. First point of contact for citizens at risk of homelessness and referring them for housing support; additionally offering housing advice and signposting to services to those at risk of becoming homeless. I also complete SARTH applications to be placed on the social housing register. This role has allowed me to develop knowledge of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 and gain a better understanding of the root causes of homelessness and what services are available to alleviate this.Previously studied at the University of Chester and completed a degree in Criminology with Counselling Skills. Developed a critical insight into the relationship between Criminological theories and Criminal Justice policies and practice as well as the experiences of victims of crime. Skilled in understanding crime, harm and justice as well as the use of counselling skills in the workplace via the Person Centred Approach.
