This required the writing of a suite of Policies backed up with procedures, plans, guidelines and templates that determine the way we perform procurement into the future. The resort has its own Airport, petrol station, supermarket and several retail outlets and all this with the back drop of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas).Responsible for the total management of the Purchasing Function of the Resort, The direct supervision of two Purchasing Officers, Since starting with Voyages in December 2012 my main focus has been to analyse the food and beverage used at the resorts hotels and look for strategies to reduce costs whilst still maintaining the expected quality, this has resulted in a 10% saving in the first six months.
