Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is responsible for the results and deliverables of the administrative processes as well as consultants and external vendors. The staffing equates to approximately 50 with the annual budget for operations in the vicinity of $3.0M. My tenure was to devise and lead a change in the model by restructuring roles and responsibilities to establish an Operations Department that seamlessly integrates all sub-departments for efficient, accurate and even workflow on receipt of projects from Sales through handover to Construction.Projects that I have led or suggested and are most proud of:1) Framework implementation throughout the operations departments. The leadership, development, mapping and successful implementation for operations was my responsibility.2) AutoCAD / Revit implementation to the drawing office. The implementation of AutoCAD / Revit , a 3D drawing system, provides significant improvements to efficiency and accuracy. After a short initial investment period the result will be a cost neutral change to the business.3) Electronic Colours to Purchase Orders integration to will see reductions in processing times and costs.4) Restructure of the colour selection process. I devised and led the implementation of a new process that is proactive with positive time management and establishes a defined timeline for the client and external vendors to drive them to an early completion thus progressing clients new homes to the construction phase quickly and efficiently.6) Operations processes and results. The operations departments at Masterton Homes were in disarray and I am very proud to say that after considerable restructure of departments and processes the improvements, including those mentioned above, have provided Masterton Homes a solid platform for the future. These operations efficiencies have contributed considerably to the reduction of the number of homes required to achieve the break even point by approximately 20% or 100+ homes.
