Since 2005, I have led a variety of technical teams in the mining industry. Engineering experience in Aluminium, Bauxite and Alumina, Copper, and Lithium businesses. I have international project experience (Australia, Scotland, USA, Serbia and Argentina) and a strong operations and maintenance leadership background for both surface and underground operations. I possess excellent analytical and technical qualities, gained through both formal training and as a result of my career development with Rio Tinto and academia (B.Eng, M.Eng, PhD).     This project involved the analysis of fault modes of high voltage transformer bushings. From this work the partial discharge signals from certain defects were established; the sensitivity to surface contaminants were modelled; and the changes in dielectric properties, as a function of moisture content, moisture location, temperature, and frequency were analysed. This project combined the use of numerical and experimental methods to form industrial specific techniques to improve the evaluation high voltage components. ~10 domestic and international papers were published as part of this research.
