I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Therapist with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. I am a compassionate Recreational Therapist with 5 years of experience in addiction, a year with TBI clients and high risk populations. I have worked with several different cultures and enjoy the uniqueness of each client. Nutrition, healthy circadian routine, leisure education and much more are intertwined into the assessments, planning, intervention and evaluations of the recreational treatment.I use a client centered approach that is based on extensive research, experience and sourced from evidence-based practices. Interventions and activities encourage client engagement and positive physical, mental and spiritual growth. A few examples of successful classes include: improv, gardening, viewing the great salmon spawning and dissecting how it applies to addiction recovery and life in general (powerful experience for clients), hiking, ropes activities, and virtual gaming to list a few.Please reach out with any questions about my attached resume.
