I have been employed by Bristile Roofing since October 2007 as the assistant to the QA & OHS Manager. Upon his resignation from the position of QA & OHS Manger at the start of 2008 I was required to take over much of his role. With help and co-operation by the managers/supervisors within Bristile I was successful in keeping the QA & OHS side of this production facility operating till a new EHSQ Manager was employed in early 2008.During the next two years I worked alongside the new manager continuing to perform my initial employment roles such as the testing required for Quality Control as well as given the chance to learn more in Excel, Word and Access such as creating Work Instructions for Bristile Roofing, Learning to create a small Database with Access, keeping schedule reports updated and creating Work Orders daily for production. After the sudden departure of this manager I remained in this position with a new EHSQ Manager for another three years. In 2013 the manager’s position became vacant again and I have took over the roles of the EHSQ Manager and have remained in that position for the past 2 years. During my nine years of employment I have been given many opportunities. Such as given the chance to learn the Despatch Manager role due to the then Manager’s departure. I remained in this role for 6 months while Bristile Roofing found a new Despatch Manager. Since that time I have been the fill in Despatch Manager whenever that position is empty. Because the QA role is closely connected to the manufacturing process I have taken the opportunity to become proficient with all the machine operations within this process. I have completed successfully certificates 1 through to 4 in manufacturing and successfully completed a Diploma of management course. Due to my time spent learning and my enthusiasm to not only improve my skills but also my over all abilities I also work when required as the 2IC on Day shift.
