I qualified as a registered Diagnostic Radiographer in 2014 before undertaking my first role as a rotational radiographer, in the following year I was promoted as a senior radiographer before branching into a more educational role as the Practice Educator. During my time as a Practice Educator I undertook a six month secondment as an Ops Manager within OGN. This gave me an insight into the organisational management of the NHS and helped to develop my business awareness and leadership skills. I then took on the substantive post as the Training & Development Manager for Medical Imaging & Medical Physics. I now work as Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography at Sheffield Hallam University.I have a keen interest in training and development and have undertaken post graduate modules focused on education within the healthcare setting. I have completed my MSc this year with a dissertation focused on the effect of a training intervention on the confidence of student diagnostic radiographers when commenting on the position of a NG tube on a chest radiograph.I am also currently a registered Mental Health First Aid Trainer with MHFA England and deliver the full Adult MHFA 2 day course.
