Candidate For
CurrentI'm currently a candidate for Winnebago County Board, District 17. I view myself as a Bernie Sanders style candidate in that I find it necessary to be open and honest to my constituents, that big money has no place in our democratic system and process. I understand fully the entire point and contrary to popular belief, it should not been seen as a "liberal" thing that is for government to quite literally "tax and spend" the taxes of the people in ways that benefits the people to the fullest. I recognize that our problems we face as far as debt is concerned is a matter of spending priorities. My hope upon being elected is to help refocus how tax dollars are spent. The people pay taxes and expect a solid return of value for doing so. Roads in good repair, solid public education, fair wages for those we hire to run the day to day operations of our county. I don't come at this believing I have all the answers, but I do know that from where I stand, no one seems to want to talk about how our problems are a matter of spending priorities.
