Between 1996 and 2000 I studied at Glasgow University, graduating with honours from the Engineering Faculty.In 2001 I joined Strathclyde Police and was based in north Glasgow where I performed front-line, operational policing duties until moving into Roads Policing in 2009. In 2010 I achieved a class 1 pass in Advanced Police Driving and used these skills extensively to police the roads network of Glasgow, West Dunbartonshire and Argyll. In 2013 I trained as a Road Policing Forensic Collision Investigator leading to deployments at various fatal and serious road collisions all across Scotland.Current post sees me responsible for the training and development of investigators whilst continuing to deploy to active incidents when required.
