With a staff of fourteen dedicated, hard working humans, OE&S is responsible for ensuring that the purchase and consumption of energy in State operations minimizes costs and maximizes sustainability. OE&S purchases electricity, oversees the State’s Energy Performance Contracting program, manages the State Utility Database, chairs the Green Purchasing Committee, plans and manages EV infrastructure for the transition of the State fleet of 4,000 vehicles, plans for the decarbonization and electrification of State-owned facilities, and organizes, coordinates and manages State operations towards a clean energy future.

Office of Weatherization and Intergovernmental Programs-State Energy Program branch. Liaison to DOE stakeholder groups. Management of cooperative agreements with state awardees.

Management of a wide range of programs including all aspects of energy efficiency and energy code compliance in the residential, commercial and government sectors. Most projects involved managing one or more contractors from outside the agency, in many cases under strict federal guidelines.

Assisted program manager in developing initiatives for a sustainable campus. Assisted energy manager in collecting GHG emission and energy use metrics. Assisted energy manager in developing protocols for collecting GHG and energy metrics.
