* As the subject matter expert for Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) processes, worked with clients to create automated data retrieval processes including parsing, manipulating, and loading data into Oracle tables using Perl and related XML parsing libraries, XSLT, and the Oracle SQL*Loader utility.* Developed data categorization/discovery processes utilizing Inxight SmartDiscovery Analysis Server along with automated Perl scripts and Oracle SQL queries in a Solaris Unix environment.* Supported existing e-commerce websites including development and maintenance of Perl, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript functionality, as well as creation of new websites from a base company template.

* Converted an HP-Unix ftp file retrieval system from Perl to Java. This was part of a larger project to rewrite an entire metrics collection/reporting system to improve performance and maintainability. The new Java-basedd system utilized multithreaded capabilities and Sybase table-based configuration to asynchronously poll and retrieve files from hundreds of various servers.* Supported DSL broadband systems, maintaining Perl, TCL, and Korn shell scripts, Sybase SQL, and C code on HP and Sun Unix machines. Through dozens of bug fix/maintenance projects of a span of multiple years, touched many different aspects of the DSL ordering/fulfillment system and became adept at quickly learning and modifying new subsystems using various languages and technologies.* Created product-specific reporting systems in Perl and SQL for use on Sun and HP Unix machiens. These projects typically stemmed from a specific business unit's needs and involved Sybase stored procedures for retrieving data and Perl scripts to manipulate the data and product text-based reports which were then automatically emailed to users.* Supported Windows NT portion of legacy signup system, maintaining C/C++ code.Participated in a year-long migration project from a legacy Fortran-based billing system to a new C/C++, Perl, and SQL system, with a focus on test automation.

* Developed stand-alone applications in C/C++ for monthly publication, as well as creating updated versions of existing applications for re-publication.* As a member of the Quality Assurance team, tested software applications across many platforms (Windows, DOS, Mac, Apple II, and others) and provided bug/enhancement reports back to development.
