The owner of the company brought me in to merge three companies with focus on implementing standardization, managing security, improving operational processes and uptime for 4 locations across the United States. Due to aging facilities, infrastructure and the need to down size, I lead the relocation efforts for three offices. This included implementation of upgraded network infrastructure, internet and security along with ensuring preventive maintenance was implemented for all aspects of the facility and network infrastructure equipment. Standardization and improved uptime was achieved by first performing a business impact analysis, evaluating risk and developing a plan of action and millstones. Working though my plan of action I was able to successfully implement all necessary NIST security controls across all locations by standardizing firewalls, security software solutions, system upgrades, consolidating two datacenters and implementing operational processes allowing the company to bid on and win several government and military contracts. In addition, I was responsible for the consolidation, migration and oversight of the Azure and Office 365 Government Cloud (GCC High) environment and technologies required to support government related Infrastructure, operations, policies, security controls, and architectural & software development. GCC High was implemented to meet NIST, FedRAMP and CMMC which were requirements of many government and military organizations. I was also responsible for managing a government closed security room hosting separate facility requirements, security controls and off grid network infrastructure.Axim Geospatial, the nation’s largest independent geospatial data firm, provides geographic insights to the largest government, military and corporate organizations that need geospatial intelligence to mitigate risk, plan for growth, better manage resources and advance scientific understanding.

I built one of the most secure and reliable networks in Southern Wisconsin consisting of 11 facilities, each facility connected via two high speed fiber lines and each had redundant paths to the internet. Two fiber lines to OneNeck collocation facility provided redundant internet connectivity using multiple internet providers as well as providing redundant connectivity to a secondary active data center for business continuity and recovery of the primary data center. I played a key role in the construction or remodel of each of those facilitates ensuring safe, secure and reliable services. In addition to my facility and Infrastructure responsibilities my roles included:SecurityI acted as advocate and primary liaison for the company’s security vision via regular written and in-person communications with the company’s executives, department heads, and end users. I was able to implement compliance, risk and security operations ensuring HIPAA and OCI compliance primarily using the NIST security framework. I was able to meet OCI and several other audit requirements by successfully implementing a SOC 2.EPMOSuccessfully lead the EPMO efforts related to planning, funding and resourcing of all organizational related projects. Working as a consultant I repaired and maintained facility, infrastructure and onsite computer equipment for over 20 facilities in the state of Wisconsin. I was later hired to manage facilities, security and network infrastructure for Family Health Systems and Group Health Cooperative. As IT manager I was responsible for managing the daily IT operations including service delivery, security operations, incident management, change management, problem management, projects, financial planning and budget management.While working for Family Health Systems I designed and built 2 data centers, this included coordination and purchase of all facility and data center required equipment along with implementing operational processes, support contracts and preventive maintenance schedules. Some components for the datacenter Included security, lighting, electrical, generator, UPS, in floor cooling, humidification, overhead cabling and fire protection.Family Health System provided facility management, infrastructure management and operational administrative services to Health Insurance and Health Care organizations.
