I am currently assistant program manager for research quality review at GCU’s College of Doctoral Studies, and also hold an Associate Professorship, through which I teach research methods in the human sciences and conduct my own research in institutionally-focused areas such as program evaluation/assessment, knowledge management (KM) and knowledge sharing (KS), organizational culture, stakeholder paneling, and end-user research (especially for ed-tech products and data analysis software). I co-supervise a team of 25 research professionals who provide quality review/compliance support and address research issues for the wider faculty consortium (issues pertaining to practitioner studies in business, marketing, healthcare, industrial psychology, education leadership, and counseling). A few things to know about me. I am not your stereotypical ‘academic’ (or so I'm told); I enjoy organizational problem-solving and regard myself as a pragmatic research professional who happens to work in an academic sphere at this moment (but I could just as easily deliver value at any number of high knowledge-based organizations/HKBOs). Second, I feel at home in the digital transformation movement (Industry 4.0) and enjoy using web technologies in all facets of my work, having 10-plus years of experience with cloud-based enterprise software (CRM and EPM), 7 years with data analysis software (NVivo, Qualtrics, R-statistical), and 2 years with AI-NLP techniques in semantic analysis. Methodologically, I have strengths in multi-modal or mixed (MMR) research characterized by strategic alignment between the qualitative and quantitative procedures employed.
