Senior Events Director
Current• Leads a team of 5 to 75 staff members on all types of events, primarily in the corporate, collegiate, and social sectors• Works closely with ownership and the culinary team to ensure events meet and exceed expectations of clients• Brand Ambassador who shares highlights of our capabilities and maintains a goal of providing First Class experiences for our clients & their guests• Proactively research areas for new business and growth, and coordinates site visits and walk-throughs as needed• Successfully builds new, and nurtures existing, relationships to create long-term partnerships with clients in the scholastic, business, non-profit, and social sectors• Create and Manage BEOs, staffing requirements and beverage and alcohol procurement requests• Prepare event menus, and if needed coordinate with culinary team on tasting events• Negotiates contracts for, and is responsible for, events, with guest counts ranging from 25 to 1000• Highly knowledgeable in the setup and use of hospitality programs including Caterease, TripleSeat, Gather, Open Table, and All Seated, as well as providing training and best practices when utilizing these powerful software tools to create BEO’s, FOH and BOH documents• Oversee efficient event set-ups and service on-site as needed; liaise between client and on-site FOH & BOH teams to ensure successful and smooth communication between all team members• Supervise the performance of event captains and hourly staff on an as-needed basis• Plan and conduct pre-event discussions and post-event follow-ups with clients and staff in a timely manner• Ensures that floorplans, timelines, licensing requirements, COI needs, and in-house equipment and rental needs are addressed in a timely manner• Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, including rental companies and sub-contractors
