About David Steyn
I am passionate about teaching and helping people improve their own language skills. I love seeing people improve their language ability, or their own teaching skill. Teaching English or training teachers is probably the most rewarding thing I will ever do. I have trained teachers from Korea, Japan, Thailand and Russia, which was a really amazing experience and taught me a lot about teaching and learning. I spent three years at the Pearson Institute of Higher education as lecturer, two of those years I was the head of an English language foundation programme, where we aim to prepare non-English speaking students prepared for higher education in an English medium university. I currently work at the WITS language school as a teacher trainer in the TESOL departmnet where we run training for people who would like to teach English as a foreign language

Work as a teacher trainer in the TEFL program at the Wits Language School.Training of pre-service teachers in preparation for teaching English to non-native speakers. The programme is designed as a 120 hour in class course, as well as part-time study and online courses. We also developed courses for in-service teachers, such as grammar improvement and teaching with technology. I am experienced in IELTS prep, and have experience in training on the Pearson PTE exam as well.
