Also involved in other non-construction projects including the development of degrees in Education for Montessori Primary and Early Childhood Teachers at AUT, the establishment of literacy, numeracy and criminogenic programmes for the Department of Corrections, the organisation of a large international education conference in Sydney, and the establishment of the first Montessori Primary school in New Zealand.The establishment of the degree courses required widespread consultation with senior AUT academics, nationwide education organisations, the Ministry of Education and the Minister of Education.Currently:* Chair of Tautuka/Waikawa Maori Land Trust.
