As the Sr. Program Manager for Air Vehicle Engineering services, David is responsible for the overall management, execution and business development associated with all Engineering activities. Additionally, he is responsible for technology insertion initiatives and in forecasting opportunities that transition leading edge material and process advancements into aviation maintenance activities. This includes the identification of projects and efforts that evaluate emerging technologies and the establishment of new and novel capabilities, as well as in ensuring that Engineering support services satisfy the needs of our diverse aviation customers.

David previously worked for the Naval Air Systems Command as the Air Vehicle Engineering Department Head in Jacksonville, FL, before retiring and joining Compass Systems Inc. As the AVE Department Head he had responsibilities for aircraft readiness of fourteen different US Navy aircraft, which included issues related to Materials Engineering, Structures Engineering, and Subsystems Engineering. This encompassed full life-cycle aircraft maintenance support, cognizance over in-service engineering topics, as well as responsibilities to resolve matters related to airworthiness, flight critical determinations, and overall mission readiness of operational aircraft. David had over 35 years of experience directly related to the full spectrum of engineering determinations, authoring technical directives, providing governance of maintenance processes, and providing oversight of rework operations that support aircraft readiness. This included holding past national certifications in the field of Nondestructive Inspection. The scope of engineering support provided to the numerous types of Navy aircraft spans decades of design evolution from essentially all metallic aircraft to more modern composite unmanned aircraft.
