Master's Student in Department of Urban and Regional Planning

A project technician responsible for the testing of soil, concrete, and various inspections. Projects include various apartment buildings in the Champaign-Urbana area and multiple wind farm jobs in West Virginia, Texas, and Illinois. Certifications include use of the Troxler nuclear gauge for soil density and an ACI certification as a concrete field testing technician - grade 1.

Began tenure as a Retail Clerk and performed various assignments and responsibilities including customer relations, sales, and Kiosk Attendant for this University of Illinois Apparel and Licensed merchandising retailer. Gained promotion to Concessions Manager in 2008; oversee inventory management, ordering, staff scheduling and sales for Kiosk locations. Liaise with warehouse operations and printing department to communicate inventory needs and forecast potential sales opportunities; drive sales strategies by working at game‐day locations and training staff to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities. Schedule a diverse staff to ensure appropriate coverage for all venues; apply exceptional organizational, communication and leadership skills in leading operations for optimized revenue outcomes.

 Provided staff scheduling, leadership and training for Lifeguards tasked with monitoring the safety and operation of 2 community pools. Served as Certified Lifeguard Instructor from 2007 to 2008, and facilitated training classes based on Ellis methodologies, and international organization that conducts safety audits and provides comprehensive insurance coverage for commercial pool locations. Trained over 90 Lifeguards in emergency response protocols, artificial respiration techniques and CPR; personally attended to multiple medical emergencies, and ensured optimized training and response skills for all personnel. Assisted in managing scheduling; called in replacement Lifeguards as needed; maintained oversight for equipment purchasing, vendor relations and day to day management of pool locations, and providedswimming instruction for special needs children.
