I enjoyed working with the council's in-house graphic design team. They brought my written work to life with colours, illustrations and intelligent layout. It was fascinating using the council's brand identity guidelines and seeing how we could use it in new and exciting ways. While studying Visual Culture at Brighton University I fancied the idea of running my own business. The Diversity Trust kick started my freelancing career as a content writer by asking me to write their newsletters and articles. At the moment, I'm writing their annual report and giving them social media ideas, so they can reach more services with their important and timely work. I have a natural pull towards working with other charities, community interest companies and independent traders. This has led to writing articles and web content for Patchway Festival, Southern Brooks Community Partnerships, Coniston Community Centre, GA Sully and Sons and the list goes on.
