Linkwood Industrial Estate

I work closely with the depot manager in the day to day running of the depot. I'm heavily involved in staff training and relations. I like to get hands on out in the yard working along side the yard staff as this help with maintaining lines of communications between management and staff. Also I work in the office dealing with customer and any issues they might have.all in all I would say that I can cover any area of the depot with strong confidence.I would never expect a member of staff to carry out a task that I myself would not carry out.

Elgin

My duties include the day to day running of a busy timber and building depot. duties from all aspects of office work i.e ordering, cash handling ,banking. dealing with customers to ensure they receive the correct items for the task they are working on. giving advise using product knowledge built up over a long period of time. Dealing with staffing issues big and small. Also I still work in the yard when required assisting the yard staff in making orders , loading and unloading supply lorries and a lot of problem solving. All in all , two days are never the same.

Beach Leisure Centre / Lynx Ice Arena

During my time with Aberdeen City council Sports Section, I was able to work up from pool life guard to Supervisor and then on to relief Duty Manager. Staff handling, Health and Safety and emergency action procedures were a high priority of my day to day taskings. this role allowed me to build on multi cultural/ age communication skills, I enjoyed this employment period due to the different challenges offer each day. not to mention meeting and working with all the emergency services on a regular basis. Leaving this role was purely family orientated as we had to move closer to home for our up coming children.

Based At Raf Lossiemouth

I was a Sapper in the Royal Engineers (237 fld sqd) 76 Regiment.The list of what I gained from this is too long to write..The main items I gained were self confidence, self motivation, the need for team work, and the ability to step back and see the bigger picture from a different angle.
