I needed to keep all eighteen of my students safe, and constantly monitor their mental health, their development during the school year, and create specialized teaching methods for each student to best suite their needs. Towards the end of my career my skill sets were leaned on by administration for teaching and training new teachers, leading the after school groups, and designing summer camp activities, lessons, and clubs. I was required to have sixteen hours of licensed training each calendar year, retain a CPR/First Aid/AED certification, and follow all Virginia state policies on required trainings and procedures. *Awarded Teacher of the Month in recognition of my accomplishments as an educator *I left my position here to focus on an intense summer workload, and to look towards furthering existing skills and gaining new ones.
